When I was young, my ambition was to be a journalist. I loved newspapers, enjoyed reading well-written articles and turning the pages for the latest local or national news.
Today we live in a digital world – and few of us buy a daily newspaper in print. However, digital communication, copywriting and publishing it is just as exciting. Publishing has transformed how we read and publish; artificial intelligence, social media, virtual reality have arrived and are thriving … the industry is dynamic, at times challenging; but it is never dull.
For many decades I have similarly been fascinated by the diversity of business and marketing. It has been interesting to work in a number of sectors throughout my career, principally finance, housing and health. Since moving to France I have also written for a wide variety of clients and sectors, UK and France based; supported companies in non-executive roles, such as music, entertainment and social care; and worked with business-focused organisations helping young people.
